Members of our congregation, along with maybe 300 other folks, participated in a peace march on March 17. We listened to some speeches, including one by a 12 year old (pay for schools, not war), signed a letter to Senator Kohl, and walked briskly down Wisconsin Avenue escorted by police horses and drummers and the occasional heckler driving by. We chanted, but, alas, did not sing. Overall a well-organized event, and hopefully effective.
